Another use of blogs I have been reading about [http://www.ipd.uka.de/PSP/ Personal Software Process]. At this link the professor has an emacs mode that works like a blog. It is used to make log entries about software development for later analysis. Here is an example of pplog-mode.el from the professors paper:

BlogEdit is an action that helps you add a blog entry to the top of a Wiki page. A good place to try it out is SandBoxBlog (and then click on BlogEdit at the bottom of the page).
