An evening of lightning talks
This will be a *very* informal session. Please consider sharing your experience!
Talks will be strictly limited to 5 minutes, with a couple of minutes of Q&A in between as people switch laptops.
Rough plan for the evening:
7:00 - introductions & solicit more talks from attendees.
- 7:20ish - lightning talks
8:30ish - general discusions / Q&A
- 9:00 - meeting ends, head somewhere for drinks/food. (location TBD)
Some ideas:
- share your recent experience with a module or framework (good or bad)
- tips and tricks
- dig through your scratch directory and share a neat hack from the past
- rant!
- evangelize!
- tell us about your recent project
- basically anything even tangentially related to Python
Please add yourself and your topic to the list below. (we'll pick a random order at the meeting)
BrianDorsey - Python in Japan (impressions & inspiration from the Tokyo monthly "Python Mini-Hackathon")
- Nat Guy - Python for creating puzzles for a 20-team puzzle competition (SEAHOP)
JamesCooper - Deploying web apps with Fabric
- Vlad Riscutia - Tinkerer - blogging with Sphinx
GeorgeReilly - HTTP Archive
MikeOrr - Pyramid, Akhet, and Kotti status
