I found a nice job up at Classmates Online Inc. http://www.classmates.com as a mod_perl developer. They use a lot of free software internally, so I get to exercise my python skills playing with Mailman occasionally. Most of the time, I am writing cool scripts in Perl that do cool things with a minimum of typing, but the end result is always the same: incomprehensible babble that magically works.
My specialties? Qt, PyQt, OpenGL, PyOpenGL, sockets, pipe/fork, and so much more. I know how to program in C/C++, Python, Perl, and some older languages. I have worked heavily with Perl and C++ in the past, so I know a bit on these subjects. In particular, I am employed professionally with Apache and mod_perl, and we used the DBI interface to Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases. I have a background in Windows, but I try not to let people know that. I am very proficient at Linux. I currently run Red Hat Linux 7.3 exclusively.
