LinuxFest Northwest will be held at Bellingham Technical College on April 17th. This is an opportunity to help grow SeaPIG, introduce others to Python, and have some fun.
Linuxfest report
BrianDorsey, my son Colin and I, JeffSandys, drove up to Bellingham and had a great day talking about Python to everyone who stopped by our table. Brian had his laptop running Knoppix and answered a lot of technical questions that were over my head, thank Brian. I had my old, slow FreeBSD machine with the fuzzy monitor demonstrating a little Python app that solved puzzles from the gameboy, and some other short applications to show how easy Python code is to understand.
We handed out about 100 flyers about Python and the upcoming Sprint.
Kirby Urner gave a great presentation to about 25 people. This link is to a open office version of his Python in the Mathematics Classroom ppt presentation.
