Many WikiWiki engines are written in Python.

Possible meeting topic:

Comparison of various Python wiki implementations: PikiPiki, MoinMoin, PikiePikie, Zope's ZWiki, Twiki (Perl), PyleWiki, and the original wiki (Perl). How did each originate? Which is better for what? Is there anything they're all missing we might want to put some development time into? (Adam)

Twiki is used by the Webware project ( http://webware.colorstudy.net/twiki/bin/view/Webware/WebHome ) and it has lots more features than PikiPiki, such as an "Edit / Printable / Diffs" etc toolbar along the bottom, more convenient *bold* and _emphasized_ markers instead of bold, a preview screen after editing, usernames/passwords (a controversial topic in the wiki world), multiuser editing locks, etc. And there's a Yahoo bar at the bottom showing the steps back up to the home page. It's implemented in Perl, but perhaps we can borrow some design ideas.

The MiniWiki for the Palm Pilot, for those who prefer wikis over other tools for organizing things. (non-Python)

The original wiki site (http://c2.com/cgi/wiki) has an index of wiki clones: http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?WikiEngines

PikiePikie allows you to embed a weblog into every page: http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?WebLog
